Hangman Adam Page became AEW world champion.
AEW Dynamite, with fallout from Full Gear 2021, advertised a celebration for Hangman Adam Page, Bryan Danielson vs. Evil Uno, Orange Cassidy and Tomohiro Ishii vs. The Butcher and The Blade, Hikaru Shida vs. Nyla Rose and Sammy Guevara vs. Jay Lethal for the AEW TNT Championship.
Last week’s broadcast of AEW Dynamite garnered 912,000 viewers.

Hangman Adam Page got “you deserve it” chants, which wrestlers typically hate. He shut it down by saying he earned it, which led to a “you earned it” chant, which I’m sure wrestlers will grow to hate.
I hate babyface vs. babyface matchups, and that feeling returned in droves when “good guy” Bryan Danielson congratulated “good guy” Hangman Adam page.
Things got tense immediately when Hangman Adam Page noted that, unlike Bryan Danielson, he managed to beat Kenny Omega in under 30 minutes.
Bryan Danielson said “WrestleMania” on AEW TV and it instantly became apparent that he was all too happy to play the heel, if not for one feud.
Bryan Danielson did nothing but double down on his apparent heel-turn, which may not just be a Virginia thing.
After delivering a running knee, Bryan Danielson emphatically reminded the hostile crowd that he just kicked Evil Uno’s [expletive] head in.
This week’s Bryan Danielson finisher of the week was the Triangle Choke.
Bryan Danielson running through the Dark Order is going to be amazing television.
AEW had Tomohiro Ishii walk out to Orange Cassidy’s music and also had him start the match, which was odd because this crowd certainly seemed familiar with Ishii.
This match had a great finishing sequence that ended when The Blade used a very safe brainbuster to beat The Blade.
These fans were all over Vickie Guerrero.
While working over Hikaru Shida’s left knee, Nyla Rose hit a senton splash on Hikaru Shida’s leg, which was very unique.
I don’t know what was more of a surprise, Nyla Rose winning, or Nyla Rose winning by forcing Hikaru Shida to tap.
Nyla Rose tied Hikaru Shida in all-time wins, so where’s her plaque?
MJF deferred to Shawn Spears and he gave MJF this look as if to say “I get to speak?”
MJF vowed to start a bidding war in the Year 2024 as he continues his public contract negotiations on AEW TV.
When MJF said he deserves to be the next AEW world champion, Excalibur called him out for wrestling three times a year.
CM Punk did not say a word to MJF as AEW is wisely waiting until they have time to promote their face-to-face showdown.
During a backstage promo, The Young Bucks cut Bobby Fish off before he could say “that is undisputed.”
Lio Rush is so fast it’s almost unfair.
For the second straight week, a Lio-Dante match garnered “this is awesome” chants, but The Acclaimed was awesome in this match as well.
In a weekend full of frog splashes, Lio Rush delivered the best one.
This babyface vs. babyface match was definitely a candidate for dueling chants, which is exactly what happened early in this match.
Tony Nese reappeared in the crowd for this match, which begs the question where has he been in the several weeks we haven’t seen him? Also, is he signed or just a voyeuristic free agent?
This wasn’t the most star-studded main event AEW could have put on, but it was a fantastic wrestling match, which has been a theme lately on Dynamite.
Coming out of the break, Sammy Guevara was being tended to by Doc Samson, which boded well for Lethal’s chances of springing the upset (and turning heel).
The good news was this match got a “fight forever” chant. The bad news was it came with three minutes left in the show.
